Laundry is a daunting task! Whether you have a laundry room or not you can still keep your laundry space organized with these tips!
- Starting with your next load, go through each piece of clothing and assess its status...is it worn out? Tears or holes? Terribly stained? Does not fit quite right? Eliminate the pieces that are are less than stellar!
- After you complete the wash and dry, immediately fold and put away clothing, this eliminates the build up of clothing in your laundry space, it will feel less overwhelming when you go in to do your laundry.
- Place some fun stylish mats in front of your washer and dryer
- Keep your laundry supplies in a container all together, you can find various containers at the large superstores or order something special over the internet
- If you frequently air dry your items, purchase a clothing rack or install a bar in the laundry space to hang these items, keep extra hangers in here
- Install a counter and cabinets above the washer and dryer if you have the space, this really organizes the space!
- If you have shelves in the space already, give them a good cleaning and jazz them up with contact paper like you did in your kitchen space...they will be easier to clean next time
- Keep the area clean, regularly wipe the washer and dryer down and keep the trash empty
- Keep a bin in the laundry area to put clothing you are planning to donate, once full take it away!
